James Edward Howard, 86, of Immokalee, Florida, passed away at home in hospice care following a long illness on June 7, 2026. He was born on March 24, 1940, in Valdosta, Georgia, to father, Seamon Howard and mother, Ophelia Duncan Howard. Mr. Howard spent his life working in agriculture.

He leaves behind to cherish the memories his wife, Barbara Johnson Howard, children, Horace Dozier, James Howard Jr., Gary Howard, Reginald Howard, Timothy Howard, Stephanie Howard, Eric Johnson, Anthony Johnson, Ceciela Davis, Layeyette Howard, Artray Owens and Jeremiah Howard along with forty grandchildren.

There will be a viewing and funeral service on Saturday June 20, 2026, at Bethel Assembly of God in Immokalee from 9:00 am to approx. noon with burial to follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
