Alfonso H. Garza, Sr. passed away February 23, 2018.
Mr. Garza was born in Rio Grande City, Texas to father Antonio Garza and mother Ramona Benavidez Garza August 2, 1948.
His nickname was "Poncho" and worked at Balgas as an equipment operator for many years. He enjoyed building things, making projects and repairing items. He married his wife Maria Betancourt Garza and loved being with his family and friends.
Alfonso "Poncho" is survived by his wife Maria Garza, son Alfonso Garza, Jr., and two grandchildren: Kaylin Garza and Johnathen Haag, three sisters: Olga, Thana and Elisia along with sister-in laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at The Prayer Center on Wednesday February 28, 2018 starting at 10am. Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
