Annie Lee Stokes James 89 of Immokalee, was called to Heaven November 06, 2013 after spending time in Orlando with one of her daughters.

Mrs. James was born in Jeffersonville, Georgia to father John Stokes and mother Elizabeth Burney Stokes.

She was married many years to Manies James, until his passing in 1994. Annie loved her large family, caring for them and being with them all. She enjoyed sitting on her porch, listening to music and being a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church.  When she was younger she also loved to dance.

Mrs. James is survived by 3 daughters; Arnita James, Julie James and Elaine McCoy (Daktari): 5 sons; Manies James Jr., (Samantha), John James, Isaac James (Sandra), Walter James (Pamela), and Fred James (Phyllis).  She also leaves to mourn her loss; 47 grandchildren and 87 great grandchildren, along with extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by husband Manies James, Sr. in 1994.

There will be a Visitation on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 6-8 pm at St. Johns Missionary Baptist Church. The Funeral Service  will be Saturday, November 16, 2013 at First Baptist Church beginning at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
