Heaven received another angel on April 4, 2022 when the Lord God called home Antonio Flores Mendoza.  He was 74 years old.

"El Wero Mendoza" as he went by, was born in Brownsville, Texas to father Juan Antonio Mendoza Sr. and mother Dionicia Flores Mendoza on August 23, 1947. Before retirement he had worked for many years as a supervisor with the Wal-Mart Corporation and lived in Cape Coral after originally being from Immokalee.

He loved spending time with his family, including his siblings and their children.

Antonio is survived by his beloved wife SanJuanita Mendoza, his cherished children, daughter RosaLinda Mendoza, sons Antonio Mendoza Jr., and Jesus Manuel Mendoza, 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, sister Teresa Crews, brothers Jesus and David Mendoza.  He was preceded in death by daughter Josephine Mendoza and both parents.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Brister Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00-7:45 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 am.  Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens, Immokalee.
