Artemio Lozano Sr. of Immokalee, Florida passed away on May 13, 2020 at the age of 76. Artemio was born in Elsa, Texas on October 27, 1943 to father Jose (Monse) Lozano and mother Delia Campbell Lozano.

Artemio's education was limited but he did attend Edcouch-Elsa Junior High School and was on the football team as well as being a star on the track team.

Shortly after, Artemio moved to Florida with his family and a few years later, he met his long-life partner Loura and married. Artemio was a well-known and respected community member as he resided in Immokalee for 64 years. His career started in the agriculture business working at Tony's Pepper House. Artemio had his very own showbiz moment as he was featured in a film "Thunder and Lightning" in 1977 which had a clip filmed at Tony's Pepper House. After learning the agriculture business, Artemio opened up "Art's Tomato House" which he ran for many years before opening his proudest accomplishment "Lozano's Mexican Restaurant", which is still owned and operated by his family.

He will be remembered by meeting and greeting customers daily at the restaurant as they walked by Table 3 (The family table). Artemio was the biggest and proudest Dallas Cowboys fan regardless if they had a winning or losing season, that was his team.

Artemio was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for most of his life. In his younger healthier years, everyone looked forward to his BBQ Ribs, which he was very passionate about cooking, during the church carnival.

Artemio's energy, kindness and wonderful heart never went unnoticed by anyone he met. He was the most humble, hardworking and caring person who loved to help others and make people happy.

Artemio is survived by his loving wife Loura of 58 years, sister Glendy and brother Elias. He was the beloved father of Artemio Lozano Jr. (Hilda), Cynthia Gonzalez, Sandra Gonzalez (Daniel), Artemio Palumbo. Artemio was predeceased by his son Carlos Lozano (Alta), parents Jose and Delia Lozano, brothers Rogelio and Joe. He will be fondly remembered by his 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

He will ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED as the "Man with the cowboy hat" and for always having a smile on his face.

The burial service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
