Arthur J. Drury, Jr. 67 of Naples was called to Heaven unexpectedly May 30, 2017.
Mr. Drury was born in Johnson County, Kansas to father Arthur J. Drury, Sr. and mother Margueritte Frances Paulsen Drury October 13, 1949.
He worked as an heavy equipment operator with Collier County for many years before retirement. He married his beloved wife Judy Cornwell Drury in a small country church in Kansas on October 2, 1982 and enjoyed over 34 1/2 years together.
Arthur was active at the Corkscrew Baptist Church and went to Haiti on a missionary trip with the church. Arthur was a volunteer fire fighter at the Corkscew Fire Department and enjoyed fishing, watching Western movies and recently found himself to be a talented artist in oil painting.
Mr. Drury is survived by his wife Judy Drury, daughter Lorie McCleary, son-in-law Rick McCleary, four grandchildren; Richard McCleary, Jr., Matthew Scott McCleary, Jessica Lynn Drury and A.J. Drury along with five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son Arthur J. Drury, Jr. in 2000.
Visitation will be held on Saturday. June 3, 2017 at Corkscrew Baptist Church 22022 Immokalee Rd., Naples FL 34120 beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will start at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bobby Kline officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens, 1155 Little League Rd. Immokalee.
