Aurelia Gonzalez's Obituary
Aurelia Gonzalez 101 years old, was called to the Lords Open Arms March 14, 2015 surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Gonzalez was born in Refugio, Texas to father Jose Flores and mother Ignacia Zuniga Flores on September 5, 1913.
Her family and friends have many great memories, including her love of her family--she always wanted to be sure everyone was feed and until it was too much for her, she was always cooking. She was famous for her tamales--family and friends were still asking her to make them when she was in her 90's. She did alot of sewing and made blankets for her family and took care of everyone.
Ms. Aurelia is survied by two sons: Pedro Gonzalez (Manuela), Angel Gonzalez (Emma), Many many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Joaquin Gonzalez, two sons: Richardo Gonzalez and Pablo Gonzalez, three daughters: Apolonia Gonzalez, Juanita Gonzales and Felipa Arevalo and grandson Raul Gonzalez.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Brister Funeral Home Chapel from 6-8:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015 beginning at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Gualdalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
