Benancio Ortiz Sr., of Immokalee and Texas passed away just 2 months after his 101th birthday. He was born in Donna, Texas to father Benancio Ortiz and mother Concepcion Cavazos April 10, 1920.

In his younger years he worked in the agriculture fields and liked to keep busy. Pelling copper was a away for him to do something with his hands and keep his mind active.

His is survived by his five daughters: Evelyn Ortiz, Rosalinda Vela, Rebecca Mora, Concepcion Molina and Naomi Ortiz, four sons: Ramiro Ortiz, Rodolfo Ortiz, Robert Ortiz and Ruben Ortiz along with 35 grandchildren and many many extended family . He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Ortiz and son Benancio Jr.

Calling hours/visitation will be held Sunday June 13, 2021 at Brister Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00-8:00 pm. A g raveside service will be held on Monday June 14 at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens beginning at 10:00 am, burial will follow.
