Carmen Gonzalez 91 of Immokalee, went into the Lords open arms June 14, 2018.

Mrs. Gonzales was born in Puerto Rico to father Jose Gonzalez and mother Maria Cortez.

Carmen loved to crocket and cross stitch, she was famous for her fried chicken wings--toasty but not burnt, she also loved cooking and baking salty and sweet food--her coffee was known to have more sugar then coffee.   Most of all she was very loving of her children, grandchildren and family, she was a mama bear when it came to protecting her loved ones.

She is survived by 3 daughters: Maria Perez (Radamez) Elizabeth Emmer (Paul) and Nydia Ramos (Hector), 4 sons: Francisco Afanador, Jr. (Mirta Bermudez), Sigfredo (Migdalia Cintrol), Elvin (Maria Ramos) and Sergio (Noemi), 19 grandchildren, 31 great grandchild and 10 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 74 years, Francisco Afanador, Jr. in August 2016.

Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church on Monday June 18, 2018 from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. the Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday June 19, 2018 beginning at 10:00 am.  Burial will follow at The Baptist Cemetery, Immokalee.
