Christobal Posada's Obituary
Christobal Posada 81 years old, was called to the Lord's open arms March 4, 2015.
Mr. Posada was born in Weslaco, Texas to father Mauro Posada and mother Julia Lopez Posada on November 16, 1933.
He served in the United States Army and was in the Korean War. He received the Good Conduct Metal before leaving the Army. Christobal raised his family for many years in the Everglades where is worked as a dragline operator for Harom Brothers. Christobal liked to listen to country and latin music, and he enjoyed resorting old cars. He was known as a wonderful father who loved his family greatly.
He is survived by three (3) daughters: Betty Bickford (Henry), Julia Gabourel and Theresa Posada, one (1) son: Christopher George Posada, six (6) grandchildren, four brothers (4): Lupe Posada (Ester), Joe Posada (Eva). Mauro Posada (Angie), and Lapo Posada (Yolonda), three sisters (3): Maria Posada, Elida Martinez (Leo)and Olivia Lopez (Burnie), along with sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife; Mary Ellen Posada and two (2) brothers: Jessie and Juan Posada.
There will be a viewing on Monday, March 9, 2015 at Brister Funeral Home Chapel from 6-8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 also at the Brister chapel beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
