Concepcion Garza 77 years old, was called into the Lord's open arms July 17, 2016.
Mrs. Garza was born in Weslaco, Texas to father Pedro Hernandez and mother Deloris Pena Hernandez.
Concepcion loved being a wife to her beloved husband Salvador Garza, Sr. until his passing, and being a mother to her two children. She loved being around family and children and being a homemaker. She will be remembered as a "proper lady" who believed in living "the old fashion way" of having manners and showing respect. Concepcion was known for her awesome tamales and that she made the best carne guisada. Her love for children helped her to crochet everything for babies: booties, clothes and baby blankets. Concepcion was a loving and sweet woman who will be missed by all.
She is survived by 1 son: Salvador Garza, Jr. (Eve) 1 daughter: Elizabeth Rutledge (Bill) 8 grandchildren and 4 great granddaughters, 2 brothers: Manuel and Chemo Hernandez. She was preceded in death by her husband, Salvador Sr., nephew Juan Hernandez, along with siblings, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 11:00-12:00 a.m, the Funeral Service will begin at 12:00, both at Brister Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
