David Dempsey, 79, of Immokalee, Florida, passed away in Naples, Florida on August 24, 2024. He was born on May 14, 1945, in Oil City, Pennsylvania to Roy Dempsey and Ruby Millard Dempsey. The family said David would spend many hours playing music and his beloved guitar.

He leaves behind to cherish the memories his wife, Pansy Wright Cagle Dempsey, two children, Rob Dempsey and Jeff Dempsey, stepchildren, Phyllis Elliott, Prissy Chance and Tabatha Bowers sisters, Nancy McCauley and Bertie Riley along with eleven grandchildren, Travis Dempsey, Zack Dempsey, Helena Dempsey, Miranda Dempsey, Justin Cagle, Storm Elliot, Cody Chance, Madison Bowers, Hannah Bowers, J.J. Gomez and Jamie Flores. He was preceded in death by stepson, Gerald Cagle, Sisters, Dottie Hilton and Linda Pochron, brothers, Don Dempsey, Ted Dempsey and Jack Dempsey, parents, Ruby and Roy Dempsey.

There will be a viewing and service at Brister Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday August 29, 2024, from 6-8 pm. Cremation to follow.
