David G. Garcia, 62 of Immokalee passed away September 14, 2016.

David was born in La Feria, Texas to father Pedro Contreras and mother Elide Guerrero. He graduated from Immokalee High School and drove semi trucks and flatbeds most of his life.

He was known to all by "Talento" as this was the name of his band and he was the drummer. They went all over S.W. Florida playing rock n roll, the "oldies" and Spanish music.

Talento was known as a comedian, he naturally could make people laugh, as he was always funny. Talento's favorite color was blue and he enjoyed watching action TV and movies, but he was known best for being a great dad and awesome grandfather--"Rampas" as he was known to his grandchildren.

He is survived by his mother Elida Guerrero Contreras, 1 daughter: Leslie Garcia (Angel) 2 sons: David Garcia (Mirvera) and Dustin Garcia (Teresa) along with 4 grandchildren, 3 siblings: Juan Garcia, Delia Valdez and Ylda Rivera and the mother of his children Isabel Gutierrez.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at Brister Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will begin at 12:30 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will then follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
