We are saddened to announce the passing of Delia Avalos Martinez on January 23, 2022 at the age of 68.

Born on September 4, 1953 in Hollandale, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Jose Luis Avalos Sr. and Maria Aurora Avalos. She worked for over 30 years at Six L's Packing in Immokalee before moving to Mulberry, Florida. She was a loving, caring person who enjoyed puzzles, coloring and spending time with family.

Delia was the mother of 5 kids: Juan Perez, Jesus Perez, Julian Perez, Javier Perez and Alma Castro, 27 grandchildren and 9 great-grandkids 2 sisters: Inez Santa Carrizalez, Tina Avalos Alvarado  5 brothers: Jesse Avalos, Cruz Avalos, Abel Avalos Sr., Albert Avalos and Noe Avalos, Sr. along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation/calling hours will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022 from 6:00-7:45 pm at Brister Funeral Home Chapel, 221 North 3rd Street, Immokalee FL  34142. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 am.  Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
