Dimas K Maldonado's Obituary
Dimas K. Maldonado 39 of Naples, formally from Immokalee, Florida was called to Heaven, May 11. 2013.
Mr. Maldonado was born in El Salvador June 12, 1973 to mother Rosa E. Molina Maldonado and father Jose Dimas Maldonado, who passed away when Dimas was 2 years old.
Dimas will be remembered for many things, including his love of travel. After spending time in the Navy he explored Columbia, Veniswayla, Dominican Repulic, San Domingo and Costa Rica to name a few. He had planned on going to the next Olympics. At the time of his passing, Dimas had worked at Marriott Hotel in Naples for 18 years.
He loved his children and family and was a wonderful father. His favorite colors were red and purple. He enjoyed being in nature and the outdoors. Dimas was finally able to purchase a motorcycle he had dreamed of for many years and enjoyed riding it for the past 2 years. He enjoyed being fit and worked out faithfully. Dimas played basketball and cards with his family and friends--he even helped make up new card games, and he loved the ladies!
There are many that will mourn his passing, including his mother Rosa E. Martinez, daughter Jazlynn Maldonado, son Kelvin Maldonado--also known as Little D. Three brothers; Jose Maldonado, Jerry Martinez and Eddie Martinez. Five sisters; Rosa Yesenia Hernandez, Betty Ortego, Shelly Martinez, Janie Martinez and Olga Martinez. Maternal grandfather; Balino Molina and the mother of his children Serina Avas, along with many cousins, uncles, aunts, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Jose Dimas Maldonado, maternal grandmother Maria Molina, Irene Palacios, cousin Bernaldo Blanco and three uncles.
Visitation will be held at Brister Funeral Chapel, Thursday May 16, 2013 from 6-8 pm. The funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Friday May 17, 2013 beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens, Immokalee.
