Dora M. Gomez received her angel wings on May 29, 2022. She was 78 years old.

Mrs. Gomez was born in Lamesa, Texas on January 23, 1944. She married the love of her life Jesus Gomez and she loved raising her large family in Immokalee. They moved many years ago to Georgia where she continued to have close relationships with her children. She loved and was very good at sewing and painting. She also enjoyed anything "crafty" she could make.

Dora is survived by her beloved husband Jesus J. Gomez, 2 sons: Jessie Gomez Jr. and Samuel Gomez,  10 daughters: Sandra, Carmen, Nora, Emma, Dora, Lisa, Erma, Carolina, Crystal and Angel, 43 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren, daughter and sons-in-law and extended family and friends.  Dora was preceded in death by 2 sons: Mario and Ricardo Gomez.

Calling hours/visitation will be held at Brister Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00-7:45 on Sunday June 5, 2022. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 am.  Following the service, burial will be held at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
