Elias Herrera Sr. 61 of Immokalee and LaBelle, passed away July 1, 2021.

He was known to his family as "bear" and he enjoyed yard work, and any type of mechanic work. Elias really enjoyed being outdoors and keeping busy, even if it was painting something outside. He was a self employed truck driver and loved being with his large family.

Elias "bear" Herrera was born in Burley, Idaho to father Pedro Herrera and mother Maria Perez Herrera  August 1, 1959.

He leaves many to mourn his passing, including his significant other Mary Lou Trevino, 1 son Elias Herrera Jr. (Michelle) 1 daughter Cruz Herrera, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, 5 sisters; Nelda, Melva, Mary, Cruz and Anna Herrera 6 brothers; Greg, Manuel, Pete, Daniel, Johnnie and Adam Herrera many nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws along with many extended family and friends. Elias was preceded in death by his brother Andy Herrera in 2017.

Calling hours/visitation will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 6:00-7:45 pm at Brister Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 beginning at 10:00 am at the same chapel.  Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
