Evangelina Rodrogiez Leal 60, of San Marcos, formally of Dallas, went to her resting place to be amongst the Angels in Heaven on March 3, 2012 in Mesquite.

She was born June 1, 1951 in Ruskin, Florida to the late Leopoldo Rodriguez and Esperanza Guzman Rodriguez.  Evangelina married Alfredo in the fall of 1974, and worked by his side in the tire business that was started in east Dallas on Carrol Avenue by Domingo Leal.

She will always be remembered for her open mind and heart, thoughtfulness and her love for her family and life. Mrs. Leal is survived by her husband Alfredo, son: Sanitago Gonzalez and daughters: Michelle Castillo and Hilda Leal, along with  eight grandchildren. Eight brothers and sisters: Roberto Rodriguez,  Mone Rodriguez, Canderlario Rodriguez, Benita Abrigo, Leopolodo Rodriguez, Jr., Esmeralda Quintanilla, Veronica Garcia and Hilda Gomez, along with many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Sindia Rodriguez and Esparanza Rodriguez, as well as two nephews.

Visitation and funeral service will be held Saturday March 10, 2012. Visitation will be 11:00 am-1:00 pm. The funeral service will then begin at 1:00 pm.  Both will be held at First Baptist Church of Immokalee.  Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
