Evelyn Marie Lester, 87, left to walk with the Lord On February 9, 2017 in Naples, Florida. She was born on July 14, 1929 in Brookfields, New York to Clarence Miller and Ethel Edick Miller. She met and married James Lester and became a teacher's aide working in the local Public High School. She was loved by her students as well as all of those who crossed her path in Immokalee, Florida where she called home.

She leaves behind to remember her, husband; James T Lester, one daughter; Diana Cooper, two sons; Edgar Lester and Richard Howell, one brother; Ray Miller, two sisters; Mary Ann Hardin and Marilyn Dixon, thirteen grandchildren and everyone in Immokalee who was blessed to know her.

Her Viewing and services were held at the First United Methodist Church of Immokalee at 11am on February 13, 2017. Pastor Thom Street presided and burial was held at the Baptist Cemetery in Immokalee.
