F elix Alvarado, Sr. 78 of Immokalee went into the Lord's open arms June 12, 2019.

Mr. Alvarado was born in San Luis Potasi, Mexico to father Felipe Alvarado and mother Algeleta Costello Alvaado June 17, 1940. He enjoyed dancing, listening to music, working crossword puzzels and traveling the United States and Mexico  He loved most his family and taking care of his beautiful plants.

He leaves to mourn his passing, 5 daughters: Hermelinga Avlarado, Rosario Garza, Susana Alvarado, Mary Jane Gallegos and Herlinda Torres, 5 sons: Felix Alvarado, Jr., Antonio, Felipe, Gabriel and Juan Alvarado, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren, 3 brothers: Hermino, Noel and Gonzalo Alvarado, and 2 sisters: Carole Gutteriez and Carmela Delarosa. He was preceded in death by his wife Guadalupe Alvarado and 2014.

Visitation will be held on Sunday June 16, 2019 at Brister Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00-7:30.  The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 am.  Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.  The family is greatful God sent these meaningful times for his services as the visitation is on father's day and the mass is held on his birthday.
