Gary "Butch" Cole 65, passed away at home after a brief illness, in the early hours of December 14, 2011 surrounded by his family.

Mr. Cole was born in Gastonia, North Carolina to father Carmel Cole and mother Ruth Moore Cole on January 18, 1946.

Gary served in the Army and was honorably discharged November 25, 1971. He worked as a farmer in and around Collier County. He married his wife Karen S. (Osborn) Cole on a boat in Lover's Key September 24, 2000.

Gary will be remembered for many great things, including his love of family and special friends, airboats and horses.

He is survived by his wife Karen Cole, sons Gary Cole, Jr. (Michelle), and Greg Cole. Sister Linda Burnett (Herman) and brother Carmel Cole, Jr. Father and Mother-in-law James and Jane Osborn, brother-in-law Kevin Osborn, six grandchildren, his favorite Jack Russell dog "Rocky" along with many nieces and newphews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Cecil, Kenneth, Troy and Jack Cole.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 17, 2011 beginning at 10:00 am. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am both will be held at First United Methodist Church, Immokalee. Burial will follow at The Baptist Cemetery, also in Immokalee, Florida.
