Gregorio P. Herrera 86, passed away with his family surrounding him May 31, 2021 at his home in Immokalee. He was born to parents Rafael Herrera and Altagracia Puentes Herrera April 20, 1935 in San Francisco, Nayarit, Mexico.

He married his beloved wife Dionicia Tovar and enjoyed being with his large family. Mr. Herrera worked agriculture farming until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and baseball. His children and grandchildren will always remember him playing and listening to guitar music, playing card games, and will miss his sense of humor.

Gregorio leaves many to mourn his loss including his wife Dionicia Herrera, two daughters: Alta H. Lozano and Gloria Herrera, four sons: Jose Rafael Herrera, Manuel Herrera (Rita), Tomas Herrera (Heather) and Gregorio Jr. (Salina) twenty grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many extended family and friends.

Calling hours/Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Brister Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00-7:45 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 beginning at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial to follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
