Mr. Harold L. Mays 80 of Everglades City, formerly of Immokalee, passed away February 19, 2021 in Naples, Florida.

Harold was born in Dogwood, Missouri to father Otho D. Mays and mother Ida Gertrude Gunder Mays on May 17, 1940. He was a proud member of the U.S. Armed Forces having been in of the Army. He was the owner of a farm working in and around Immokalee.  He enjoyed being a welder as a hobby and having it be useful around the farm. Fishing was another enjoyment along with piloting a small plane when he could. He was known as a "tinker", being able to tinker with a bit of everything around the house and farm to either fix, create or to just pass the time.

He is survived by his wife: Donne Sue Barfield Mays, 2 sons: Jeffery and Daniel Mays, 1 daughter: Debra Mays Ayala, 7 grandchildren, extended family and many friends. Harold was pre deceased in death by son Barron Ray Mays.

The Funeral Service will be held graveside-- Baptist Cemetery, Immokalee on Wednesday February 24, 2021 beginning at 10:00 am with Donnie Crapse officiating.
