Mr. Harold Thomas passed away December 4, 2019 at Avow Hospice in Naples, Florida.

He worked as a Collier County Sheriff Deputy for many years before retired-- twice from the agency. Sgt. Thomas began his CCSO career prior to 1970 as a civilian officer working the radio in Immokalee. He became a LEO and worked with the Sheriff Department from 5/1/70-6/14/93 retiring as a Sgt. in Agriculture with the honorary rank of Lt. He was rehired on 7/12/94 and worked as a deputy in Agriculture until 6/8/98 before retiring again.

He enjoyed being outdoors especially on a farm, and working with cattle along with his enjoyment of horses and hunting.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife Linda Heeren Thomas, his two sons: Sgt. Caleb Thomas and Carl Thomas, three daughters: Jody Uyanik, Mona Wells and Beth Caudil as well as five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, December 8, 2019, in the Chapel at First Baptist Church, of Naples, located at 3000 Orange Blossom Drive, Naples, Florida 34109. Refreshments will be served. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to AVOW Hospice, Naples or to the First Baptist Church of Naples, Building Fund.
