Helen Inez Hinton, 86 of Immokalee, FL left this life on March 14, 2011. She was born February 6, 1926 to O.A. and Fanny Rawls Allsbrooks in Meridian, MS. Helen married Forrest Hinton, M.D. in 1946 and they were together until his death in 1987. In 1955 Doc and Helen moved to Immokalee and served the community as a medical "team" until thier retirement in 1981.

Helen was a down-to-earth, simple person. She was a Christian whose faith was pivotal in how she lived her life and treated others. Although Helen had no formal medical training, she will be remembered for her nursing skills as she assisted her husband for over thirty years in their medical practice in Immokalee. They treated all those with needs, regardless of race, color, creed or ability to pay.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 on Friday, March 18 at the First Baptist Church in Immokalee, followed by a service at 11:00.

Helen is survived by a sister Lillie May Taylor and Niece Barbara Emanuel, both of Mobile, AL.
