Hermelindo Cardenas Rivera, 87, of Immokalee, Florida passed away peacefully while in hospice care in Naples, Florida on August 19, 2024. He was born in Matamoras, Mexico on January 30, 1937, to Guadalupe Cardenas Lara and Guadalupe Rivera Lara. He was a lifelong fisherman who loved and appreciated the sport.

He leaves behind to cherish the memories, four children, Rosa Isela Tovar, Martin Cardenas, Juan Gabriel Cardenas and Pedro Francisco Cardenas along with eighteen grandchildren, forty-seven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

There will be a viewing Monday August 26, 2024, at Brister Funeral Home Chapel from 6-8 pm and a funeral mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Tuesday August 27, 2024. Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
