Mr. Jacinto Sanchez-Arvizo 88 of Immokalee, FL was called to Heaven February 5, 2020.

Mr. Sanchez was born, October 11, 1931, in San Luis de la Paz, Guanajuato, Mexico to father Reyes Sanchez and mother Guadalupe Arvizo. He was a creative man with ability to look at something and repair it or change it to make it better or more productive. Jacinto liked to tinker with things in all fields; from agriculture tools to household utensils, including a corn tortilla maker that he had made for each of his children. He loved all types of horticulture and was known around town for his tree grafting abilities. He enjoyed fishing, playing the lottery and sharpening knives/tools.  He will be remembered for many things, especially for the love and pride of his family..

Jacinto is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Mercedes Sanchez and their 8 children;  Guadalupe Sanchez (daughter), Reyes Sanchez (son), Gregorio Sanchez (son), Gloria Garza (daughter), Gerardo Sanchez (son), Leticia Merricks (daughter), Marta Massey (daughter) and Mercedes van Woerkom (daughter) along with twenty grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. Jacinto was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2020  at Brister Funeral Home  221 North 3rd Street, Immokalee, FL 34142 from 1:00-3:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 10, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Immokalee beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery, SR 82, Fort Myers, FL.
