Heaven received another Angel when Mr. James Lester 95 of Immokalee answered God's call August 30, 2021.

Mr. Lester was born May 28, 1926 in Clio, South Carolina to Luther and Lena Lester. After retiring from the Navy/Coast Guard Jim went into law enforcement with the CCSO (Collier County Sheriff Office) proudly wearing badge #134.  Jim was a HAM radio operator making friends worldwide.  He was also an avid golfer, fly-fisherman,  he coached little league baseball and loved to "putz" around with electronics and woodworking.  Jim never met a stranger, telling stories of days gone by were his Forte.

He loved people, had a great sense of humor and will truly be missed by many.

Jim left behind a daughter Dianna Cooper (Robert) and son Eddie Lester (Tatia), 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild (with 2 more on the way) nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother Luther, sisters Agnes and Rachel, first wife Helen, sons Jimmy and Andrew, daughter Valerie, second wife, Marie  and step-son Med Howell.

There will a Memorial Service held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at First United Methodist Church beginning at 11:00 am.
