JOANN SHEPHERD, 68 of Immokalee
lost her brave battle with lung disease and passed away unexpectedly March 12, 2009.

Mrs. Shepherd was born February 23, 1941 in West Virginia to Forest C. Clemons and Myrtle J. Shell Clemons. She went to school in Immokalee, Florida and was a long time member of First Baptist Church, Immokalee.

She was the owner/operator of the longtime "Plain Jane Dress Shop" in Immokalee.

Anyone who knew Joann, knows that she found the good in every situation and could always make you laugh.

She is survived by her sons; John Shepherd Jr, and James Shepherd,
three grandchildren: Andrew, Brandon and Julie Ann, three sisters: Mary Lou McClelland, Pam McEwen and Nell Clemons, six brothers: Robert, James, Clarence, Richard, Doug and Dale Clemons. She will also be greatly missed by extended family of Joel & Cindy Carver, Joey, Jerrod & Mendy Carver, and the many friends that knew her for so many years. Joann was preceded in death by her husband John E. Shepherd, and two sisters: June Bryant and Janice Clemons.

A Funeral Service will be held
Monday, March 16, 2009 at 11:00 am
at the First Baptist Church, Immokalee. Burial will follow at the Baptist Cemetery.
