John Calvin Shingles, 66, left to be with the Lord Wednesday April 25, 2018 while doing what he always loved to do, driving a truck, in Charlotte County, Florida. He was born right here in Immokalee on December 24, 1951 to James Collier and Alfiree Jackson.

John is survived by 1 son; Joseph Boney, 4 daughters; Calvette Shingles, Rosylyn, Calmeisha Shingles and Dalphira, 16 grandchildren, 4 sisters; Patricia Green, Mary F. Elemon, Patricia Spatcher and Barbara Bruten, 5 brothers; James Williams, Michael Jackson, Cornelius Jackson, Edward Jackson and Fredrick Jackson. He was preceded in death by son Gary Jackson.

There will be a viewing and service for Mr. Shingles on Saturday May 5, 2018 10:00 am at the Bethel Assembly of God Church, off of main street, in Immokalee. Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
