We are saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Jose Mario Canales, Jr. on September 4, 2022. He was 49 years old.

Jose was born in Naples, Florida to father Jose Canales Sr. and mother Norma Gutierrez Canales on September 28, 1972-- he passed 24 days before his 50th birthday. He went to Immokalee High School-where he was in the Immokalee Hall of Fame, he loved football, baseball, karaoke and was known for being kindhearted. He touched many people in so many different ways, but everyone he came into contact with had only positive experiences. He was known for his famous "throwing up" the Nike sign and loved a challenge-even if it was a gross food challenge, he was up for it! He loved to travel and see new places along with exploring historical sites.

There are many people to mourn his passing, but mostly his loving family including his beloved mother: Norma Canales, father: Jose Canales, Sr, wife: Ricki Jo Canales, 3 daughters: Leandra Reyna, Ravyen Bee, Kayla Canales, 4 sons: Brendon Villarreal, Jordan Canales, Jacob Martinez, and Jamie Gonalez, 11 grandchildren, 7 siblings: Eva Canales, Jovita Canales, Nora Canales, Maryjane Canales, Andres Canales, Eloy Canales and Isaiah Canales many many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022 at First Assembly Church 650 2nd Avenue, Immokalee 34142 from 6:00-7:45. On Tuesday, September 13, 2022 there will be a funeral service held at the same church beginning at 10:00 am.
