J ose Urbano Gonzalez, Sr., 81 was born November 30, 1938 and passed away peacefully July 7, 2020.

Jose was born in Driscoll Texas and was a self employed carpenter.  He enjoyed making things for his family and friends as being a carpenter was a hobby as well as his work. He was born in Driscoll, Texas to father Tomas Gonzalez and mother Maria DeJesus Canales Gonzalez .  He was widowed many years ago and continued to be a hard worker and loved spending time with his large family.

He is survived by 3 daughters: Jolanda Gonzalez, Belinda Gonzalez Chapa, and Griselda Gonzalez, 5 sons: Daniel Gonzalez, Jose Gonzalez, Jr., John Gonzalez, Agustine Gonzalez and Tomas Gonzalez along with 21 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, son and daughter in-laws, sister and brother in-laws, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

The family has chosen cremation.
