Mr. Garza was born in Texas to father Ismael Jose Garza and mother Joaquina Ramirez Garza. He worked over 30 years for ABC Produce as a supervisor.

Leonel Sr., is survived by his wife San Juana Sanchez Garza, sons; Daivd "Boo-Boo" Garza (Lisa), Jose "Joey" Garza (Leticia), Thomas "Bay" Garza (Martha), Pedro "Pete" Garza (Pattie): daughters; Angie Garza (Geraldo), and Marie Otila "Tila" Hernandez (Maxamino), son-in-law Felipe Garcia, Sr., numberous step-children, 31 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, along with extended family. He was preceded in death by his daughter SanJuanita Garcia 4-13-2012 and son Leonel Garza, Jr. in 1999.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 5-7 pm (promtly at 7) at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Immokalee, FL. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday April 27, 2012 also at the Church begining at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
