Mr. Lonnie Pray was born on November 10, 1923 in Blackshear, Georgia to parents Lonnie Pray and Lucille Gray Brown.

He enlisted in the United States Army to fight for his country on November 15, 1943 and received an honorable discharge
April 26, 1946. Later in life he married Mildred (Gladys) Pray and they lived a happy life until her passing. Lonnie enjoyed
cutting grass, it was not a chore to him as he enjoyed being outdoors and the smell of fresh cut grass. He also loved to go fishing.

He accepted the Lord and personal Savior at Hyways and Byways Ministries in Immokalee under the leadership of Pastor John Bex.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, 15 children:
Cynthia Pray-Clinton (Vernon), Gloria (Rita) Pray-Smith (Johnny), Linda Pray, Lonnie Pray Jr., Clifford Pray (Irene), Shirley Williams (James), Larcine Stevens, Gordon Ray, Stevens, Rev. Tommy Mitchell, Betty Sloan (Walter-deceased), Vivian Conley (Ruben), Laverne Taylor, David Clifton (Melissa), Robert Clifton( Samantha-deceased) and Ronnie Clifton. He is survived by 1 brother: John Brown. He had 5 children that preceded him in death: Melva Jean Pray-Troutman (Willie James), Michael Clifton, Lisa Pray, Phyllis Pray-James (Fred), and Sharon Stevens, also preceded by son-in-law Walter Sloan, daughter-in-law Samantha Clifton, wife Mildred Pray, both parents along with 6 siblings: William Brown, James Brown, Mae Ella Bostic, Daisy Mae Russ, Catherine Stark and Agnes Johns. Lonnie has left a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins along with extended family and friends.

His homecoming celebration will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Victory in Jesus Christ Tabernacle, 410 School Drive, Immokalee, FL which will begin at  11:OO AM. The repass will be held at Vernon and Cynthia Clinton, 1267 Adams Court, Immokalee.
