Rafaela L. Hernandez 74 of Naples and Lehigh Acres, Florida
passed away at her home February 2, 2017.
Mrs. Hernandez was born in Santiago, Cuba to father Ramiro Sierra and mother Consuelo Fernandez Sierra on December 13 1942. She was known to friends and family as "Lucy".
She met and married the love of her life, husband Armando Hernandez in Cuba in her early 20's. In January 1967 with a 10 days old daughter, they moved to Spain for 1 year. They then moved to New Jersey and New York before coming to Naples. She recently moved to Lehigh Acres with her daughter. Lucy enjoyed crocheting, knitting and cooking, especially Cuban food. She was famous for her black beans.
Mrs. Hernandez is survived by 2 daughters; Annette Hernandez an Yami Hernandez Bravo, 1 son; Armando Hernandez, Jr., and three grandchildren; Daylah, Barrett, and Arlene Hernandez. She was preceded in death by her husband Armando Hernandez, November 13, 2015.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 6:00 -8:00 pm at Brister Funeral Home Chapel, 221 North 3rd Street, Immokalee, FL. The Funeral will be held Graveside--Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens, Immokalee beginning at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 9, 2017.
