Margarita Lopez Cervantes 76, passed away on May 30, 2016 at her home in Immokalee, FL surrounded by her family.

She was born in Lyford, Texas on April 8, 1940 to father Francisco Lopez, Sr. and mother Leonides Flores Lopez.

She was married to the love of her life, Ramon Cervantes for over 63 years. They were married at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, and renewed their vows at the 50th and 60th year of marriage.

Margarita enjoyed many types of crafts including crocheting. She was a woman who enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was "famous" for her Tamales, beans and tortillas. Margarita was a loving, caring, generous and compassionate woman to all her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by 3 sons: Danny Cervantes (Rebecca), Manuel R. Cervantes, Jr. (Cecilia) Jacinto "JC" Cervantes (Rosalinda); 3 daughters: Virginia Alvarado (Martin) Diana C. Rios (Juvencio Jr.) and Evengelina Sierra along with 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren, 2 brothers and 1 sister. She was preceded in death by her firstborn Ernstina Cervantes.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 6-8:00 pm HOWEVER AT THIS TIME THE PLACE OF THE VISITATION HAS NOT BEEN FINALIZED-please check back for update). The funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
