Mrs.  Maria Bustos Garza 94, of Spur, TX and Immokalee, FL went into the Lords open arms February 2, 2020 surrounded by her family in Immokalee.

Maria was born in Santa Anna, TX to Guadalupe Gonzalez Bustos & Ramona Hernandez Mejia on November 27, 1925. She married Miguel Garcia Garza on December 9, 1940 in Robstown, TX and they were happily married for 77 years. Maria was a devoted housewife & mother. She was involved in De Colores Marriage Group & parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spur, TX. She and her husband Miguel were founding pioneers of Gopher's Ridge, FL to be later recognized as Immokalee, FL "my home". She loved to play bingo, and dominos anywhere, anytime. She was a great baker, especially "Pastor's Bread"

M aria is survived by Eloy Garza (Nancy) of Spur, TX,  Ruben Garza (Ofelia) of Spur, TX,  Maria Margarita Garza of Immokalee, FL,  Miguel Garza, Jr. (Sofia Esther) of Immokalee, FL, Juan Garza (Leticia) of LaBelle, FL, 49 Grandchildren, 95 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great grandchildren. Maria is preceded in death by Miguel (husband), Roberto Garza (son), Maria De Jesus Garza (daughter), Sulema Olivarez (daughter), Gloria Perez (daughter), Magdalena Olivarez (granddaughter), Jose Perez, Jr. (grandson), Ruben Garza, Jr (grandson) Linda Crystal Sanchez (granddaughter), Christian Michael Sanchez (great-grandson), Kimberly Jade Garza-Olgin (great-granddaughter), Julie-Ann Nevaeh Garza (great-granddaughter) and Alexus Garcia (great-Granddaughter).

Visitation will be held in Immokalee, FL February 6, 2020 along with a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Immokalee on February 7, 2020.
