Maria Ortega, 79, of Immokalee, Florida passed away unexpectedly at her home on September 27, 2023. She was born in Robstown, Texas on August 16, 1944, to Benjamin Becerra and Ernestina Hernandez Becerra. She loved to shop her family said. Her family is heartbroken.

She leaves behind to cherish the memories two daughters, Sylvia Valdez and Lucy Garcia, three sons, Frank Ortega, Rafael Ortega and Jose Valdez along with twenty-one grandchildren.

There will be a viewing at Brister Funeral Home Chapel on Monday October 2, 2023, from 6-8 pm and a funeral mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Tuesday October 3, 2023, at 10 am. Burial to follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
