Maria Oralio Rodriguez 70 of Fort Myers and Immokalee, passed away unexpectedly October 11, 2019.

Mrs. Rodriguez was born in Edingburg, Texas to father Jose Jesus Rodriguez and mother Eva Rodriguez on September 19, 1949. She met and married the love of her life, Antonio Rodriguez in Eddingburg before moving to Immokalee. They were married for 44 years!

Maria was proud and enjoyed her work as a laborer in the agriculture fields--she liked it so much it was more of a hobby she did everyday, instead of it being work. She carried that love to flower gardens in her yard, every year she always made sure she had flowers around her house. Her favorite color was teal and she was known to make the best tamales--so much so that her large family would fight over who got them.  Maria enjoyed listening to Hispanic music and Nuvella soap operas. Beside her stress reliever "therapy" of shopping at thrift shops, her family was her favorite things to have around her.

Maria is survived by her husband, Antonio Rodriguez, children: San Juan Ramirez Castillo (Ruben), Rosa Maria Ramirez (Mario Martinez), Irma L. Flores (Fornando), Eva Ramirez, Diana Rodriguez Cisneros (Guadalupe), Sonya Rodriguez, and Jose Antonio Rodriguez (Denisse Galvan) 25 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, 4 brothers and 2 sisters along with nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son: Arnulfo Ramirez, Jr. in 199.

Visitation will be held at Fellowship Church, corner of Lake Trafford Road and North 15th, from 6-7:30 pm on Tuesday October 15, 2019.    The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe beginning at 10:00 am. on Wednesday October 16, 2019.  Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
