Maria Nieves Ruiz Meza, age 79, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2020 in her home surrounded by her beloved family.  She was born on September 14, 1941 in Guanajuato, Mexico to Juana Sanchez and Salvador Ruiz. She was married to her husband and soul mate Jose Meza Almanza for 57 years. She and her husband Jose worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for their children.

Maria was a kind, loving, and caring woman to all who knew her. She was best known as Mañe by her loved ones. She was the rock of her family and her large family of nine was her pride and joy.  Maria's compassion, support, and nurturing ways will forever live within those she left behind. She was an amazing mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her smile and mischievous laughter will live on forever.

Maria was predeceased by her son David Meza. She is survived by her eight children, 23 grand children and seven great grand children.

Visitation will be held on Thursday September 24, 2020 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Brister Funeral Home in Immokalee, FL. The funeral service will be held on Friday September 25, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens in Immokalee, FL.

María Nieves Ruiz Meza, de 79 años, falleció el 21 de septiembre del 2020 en su casa rodeada de su amada familia. Nació el 14 de septiembre de 1941 en Guanajuato, México a sus padres Juana Sánchez y Salvador Ruiz. Estuvo casada con su esposo y amor de su vida José Meza Almanza durante 57 años. Ella y su esposo José trabajaron incansablemente para brindar oportunidades a sus hijos.

María era una mujer amable, amorosa y cariñosa con todos los que la conocían. Ella era mejor conocida como Mañe por sus seres queridos. Ella era la fundación de su familia y su gran familia de nueve era su orgullo y alegría. Su compasión, apoyo y forma de querer de María vivirán para siempre entre aquellos que dejó atrás. Fue una madre, abuela y bisabuela asombrosa. Su sonrisa y mirada traviesa vivirán para siempre.

Su hijo David Meza murio antes que Maria. Le sobreviven sus ocho hijos, 23 nietos y siete bisnietos. El velorio se llevará a cabo el jueves 24 de septiembre del 2020 de 6:00-8:00pm en Brister Funeral Home en Immokalee, FL. El servicio funeral se llevara  a cabo el viernes 25 de septiembre del 2020 en la Iglesia Católica Our Lady of Guadalupe a las 10:00 am. Seguirá el entierro en Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens en Immokalee, FL.
