Nellie Doctor Bain 83 of Immokalee, left these earthly bounds and received her angel wings April 16, 2021.

Miss Nellie was born in Miami, Florida to father Watts Billie and Mary Osceola Billie on March 10, 1938. She grew up and lived on the Seminole Reservations in Florida and was an important elder to the Tribe, especially the Immokalee Reservation where she spent many of the last years of her life. Miss Nellie was always there for anyone that needed advise, or a ready smile.

She was a member of the Immokalee First Seminole Baptist Church. She also went along with the tribes trips and involvements of going to different events around Florida and loved her tribe family and they loved and respected her very much. She loved turtles-her favorite hobby was collecting "statues" of turtles and seeing them in nature.

Miss Nellie will be missed by many and her memory will be carried on and pasted down thru generations, but her family will mourn her loss the most, including her (2) daughters; Rhonda Bain Wright (Lonnie) and Maxine Tucker Jock (Mark) 1 grandchild, (2) brothers; Thomas Billie and Nicodemus Billie along with many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandson Ricky Way Tucker in 2020, brother Joseph Billie and mother Mary Osceola Billie and father Watts Billie.

Due to COVID-there will be a WALK-THRU VISITATION of paying respect to Miss Nellie's remains, at First Seminole Baptist Church 1pm, where covid restrictions of standing 6 feet apart and wearing masks will apply. There will then be a Graveside Service at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens 1155 Little League Rd., Immokalee 34142 to follow at approx. 2:30pm.
