Roy Loya 59 of Immokalee lost his battle with Covid August 15, 2021.

Roy was a hometown man, he was born in Immokalee to father Salvador Loya, Sr., and mother Alberta Cano Loya on February 24, 1962. He worked as a farm tractor driver in the agriculture fields in and around Immokalee. He enjoyed football--his favorite team was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he was overjoyed when we was able to see them play live in their stadium. He was close to his family and loved being with them. Roy also enjoyed parties with friends and family. Many will remember that he also liked photography and had a sense of humor.

Roy will be mourned by many, including his sister Maria Loya, brothers; Salvador Loya, Jr., Oscar Loya and Ruben Loya along with nieces, nephews and extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and three brothers; Juan Campos, Hector Loya and Jose Maria Loya.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Brister Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00-7:45 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 beginning at 10:00 am.  Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
