Roy D. Vickery 74 of Immokalee, Florida passed away at Lehigh Regional Medical Center, February 26, 2014.

Mr. Vickery was born in Haleyville, Alabama to father Lee Roy Vickery and mother Deoma Novella Wright Vickery, December 13, 1939.

He married the love of this life, Vivian Barfield January 17, 1970 in Naples, Florida.  He enjoyed being with his family and worked many many years for Jack Queen Constrution, Immokalee FL -currently named Lightner Construction, until his passing.

Roy and his wife ran Shopworth Grocery Store in Immokalee and was known as a great meat cutter. He also had a great sense of humor and was known to be an "instigator".

Roy leaves behind to mourn his passing, his wife of over 44 years Vivian Vickery, (5) daughters; Earleen Rimes, Betty Sue Hayes, Odessa Merrigan, Lynn Cole and Angie Vickery-Luna,(5) son-in-laws: Randy Rimes, Don Hayes, Kevin Merigan, Todd Cole and Jacinto Luna. (12) grandchildren and (1) great grandchildren.  One sister,  Marchia Kirkland along with many long time friends and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family repectfully requests donations payable to: The Alzheimer's Association, FGCC Memory "Poker Run".A memorial service will be held Monday, March 3, 2014 at Brister Funeral Home Chapel, 221 North 3rd Street,  Immokalee FL staring at 10:00 am.
