Rubert Garthie Dupree, 94, of Immokalee, Florida, passed away on July 19, 2025. Born on February 28, 1931, Rubert lived a full and remarkable life filled with hard work, family, and a deep love for the outdoors.

Rubert is survived by his wife, Mary Dupree; his children Terry Dupree, Bonnie Walsh, Paul Dupree and his wife Kathy, and William (Bill) Dupree and his wife Debbie; as well as his late son Richard "Tinker" Daryl Dupree's wife, Donna. He was also blessed with stepchildren Cynthia Floyd and her husband Dan, Lynn Hobby and her husband Paul, and Joe Rizzo and his wife Dorothy. Rubert leaves behind many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Helen Dupree; his son Richard "Tinker" Daryl Dupree; his daughter Dora Louise Dupree; and his grandchild William Bruce Dupree.

Rubert spent his career with Florida Rock Industries, where he worked as a superintendent operating and managing draglines.

A true outdoorsman, Rubert loved hunting, fishing, and being in nature. Rubert loved a good hunting trip almost as much as a good casino run. If there's a slot machine in heaven, we know where to find him.

Rubert's life was defined by love for his family, his passion for the great outdoors, and a sense of humor that made every day brighter. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
