Sandra Lynn Medrano, 61, of Leigh Acres, Florida, passed away on December 21, 2023. Born on April 18, 1962, in Sumter, South Carolina, Sandra was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.

Sandra was a License Practical Nurse who had a gift and passion for serving others. Throughout her thirty-year career she worked at North Collier Hospital, Home Health Care and fulfilled her dreams of owning her own Assisted Living Facility. She was a true caregiver both in her career and among her family and friends. She loved her family, traveling, and Tejano music.

She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Hester Clanton, her daughter Joaquina Ochoa, her sons Nicholas Gamez and Adam Gamez, her granddaughters Emma Gamez and Olivia Gamez, and grandsons Nicholas Gamez Jr., Nathan Gamez, and Isaiah Gamez, and her sisters Janis Laycock and Becky Miller. Sandra was preceded in death by her father Cecil Clanton, and her son, Richard Damien Gamez.

There will be a graveside service at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens on Tuesday December 26, 2023, at 11am.  located at 1155 Little League Rd, Immokalee, FL 34142. Brister Funeral Home located at 221 N Third St., Immokalee, FL will arrange the services.

Sandra Medrano will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
