Sotera Hernandez 84 went into the Lords waiting arms May 16, 2015 with her family surrounding her.
Mrs. Hernandez was born in San Benito, Texas April 22, 1931 to father Agustin Gonzalez and mother Maria Trinidad Gonzalez.
Her passion was gardening, she also enjoyed sewing and quilting. She was famous for her torteas and fideo--no one has been able to duplicate her recipe's to make them taste so good. She also loved her family.

She is survived by two sons: Hermand and Juan Hernandez; two daughters: Mary Ellen Saldivar and Raquel Partida, fifteen grandchildren, fourty-three great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Sotera was preceded in death by her husband: Jesus Hernandez, two daughters: Ninfa and Maria Hernandez and three sons: Martin, Emilio and Gilbert Hernandez.
