The Lord has received a true Angel when he called Soyla Reyna Medina 57 to Heaven on October 11, 2021. She was born September 8, 1964 to Father Virgilio Reyna and mother Guadalupe Gonzalez Reyna September 8, 1964 in Fort Wayne Indiana.

Soyla it seemed, knew just about everyone in Immokalee. Whomever she had contact with, she brightened their day. She had a light inside her and it brightened even more when she talked to others about the Bible, Jesus, Mother Mary and Christianity. She was a true Christian and introduced many to faith.

She was a kind woman, always willing to help someone else, she would help with the rosary at the church and at funerals. She always had a smile on her face and will be missed by so many people in the church, the Immokalee community, but also by all the great friends she had, many of them she met and became friends with many many years ago.

She left a lasting impression on everyone including her surviving family: husband Johnnie Lee Medina Jr., daughters: Hilarie Ramirez and Jaylla Lynn Medina, sons; Hector Ramirez and Johnnie Lee Medina III, 4 grandchildren and her loving mother and siblings.

Calling hours will be on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Brister Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00-7:45 pm. The Funeral Mass in her honor will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on October 18, 2021 beginning at 10:00 am.  Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens. Please note masks are required at the calling hours and at church.
