Tomas Castaneda, Jr.,  74 of Immokalee passed away January 16, 2019. Mr. Castaneda was born in Robstown, TX to father Tomas Castaneda, Sr. and mother Sara Garcia. He married his beloved wife Guadalupe Lopez and worked in the agriculture fields to take care of his family.

Tomas was a great woodworker.  He made everything from large mailboxes, birdhouses, "wells" that sit outside. He also was able to design his own plans and make different wood items. He either sold most items, but he also used his generous heart and gave away a lot of the items he made.  His favorite color was blue. Tomas's family will miss his loving heart and his determination and strength. Until he became to ill, he attended the Second Change Church of Immokalee.

He is survived by his wife: Guadalupe and his six children: Belinda Escamilla (Felipe) from Rio Hondo Texas, Guillermo Castaneda, Immokalee, FL, Ludivina Castaneda (Fidencio Trevino), Immokalee, FL, Jaime Castaneda (Janie) Immokalee, FL, Juanita Gonzales (Andrew) Immokalee, FL  and Tomas Castaneda III (Leslie) also of Immokalee, along with 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Brister Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
