Uriel Martinez just 22 years old of Immokalee, was called unexpectedly into the Lords Arms February 16, 2019. Uriel was born along with his twin brother Alexis to father Rey Martinez and mother Edith Jaramillo Maldonado Martinez on December 15, 1996.

Uriel went to Highlands Elementary,  Immokalee Middle and Immokalee High School where he was well known and liked by all.  Uriel was attending the Immokalee I-Tech and he and his brother would be the hair models, letting the hair designers show their styles for the hair competition, and they helped win a number of shows.

He defined himself as a "power builder"--a mixture of a body builder and a power lifter. He really enjoyed weight lifting. As everyone knows he had a special bond with his twin brother and loved being with his immediate and extended family, doing cookouts or just being with family. He was always there for a friend or family in need and his loving smile and ability to leave permanent footprints in the hearts of the people he loved will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Brister Funeral Home Chapel. On Thursday, February 21, 2019 there will be a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens.
