Valentine "VAL" Martinez Jr., 82, of Immokalee, Florida passed away after a brief illness on December 6, 2023, in Naples, Florida. He was born in Benavides, Texas, on December 16, 1940, to Valentine Martinez Sr. and Guadalupe Leal Martinez. He enjoyed guns, shooting and hunting. He will be missed by all who knew him. Many will remember Val from working with my father and I over the years at the funeral home. We were truly blessed.

He will be remembered by his wife, Guadalupe Flores Martinez, children, Corina Hernandez, Bebe Rodriguez, Laura Gonzalez, Juan Salinas, Melba Salinas, Isabel Reyna, George Salinas, Ricardo Salinas, and Sally Cortines, as well as thirty-three grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Val had previously lost a son, Jimmy Salinas.

There will be a viewing at Brister Funeral Home chapel on Thursday December 14, 2023, from 6-8 pm and a funeral service at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Friday December 15th at 10 am. Cremation to follow.
